Unraveling Timeless Threads

Updated: Jul 28

Previously, I mentioned the Sumerian religion, an ancient civilization that inhabited the region of Mesopotamia, specifically the area between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, who are credited with creating one of the world's earliest known forms of writing, cuneiform.

The Sumerians worshipped a pantheon of gods and goddesses associated with various elements of nature and aspects of life.

These deities included gods of the sky, earth, water, the underworld, and the Sun god Utu, reflecting their belief in the spiritual essence of natural forces and elements.

Why, then, is there no mention of the Sumerians in the entire biblical literature?

The Sumerian cuneiform script was developed around 3400 to 3000 BCE.

It is considered one of the earliest systems of writing, originating in the late Uruk period of ancient Mesopotamia.

The earliest examples of Sumerian cuneiform are primarily administrative and economic records, but the script later evolved to encompass a wide range of literary, religious, and legal texts.

The Semites began to establish themselves in Sumer around 2340 BCE when Sargon of Akkad, a Semitic ruler, conquered Sumer and founded the Akkadian Empire.

This marked the beginning of significant Semitic influence in the region.

The Akkadian Empire lasted until around 2154 BCE, after which the region saw a series of conflicts and power struggles, including the rise of the Third Dynasty of Ur, which was a Sumerian renaissance.

However, the influence of Semitic peoples continued to grow, eventually leading to the dominance of the Amorites and the rise of Babylon.

The Sumerians inhabited the region known as Mesopotamia, which is indeed the land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

This area, often referred to as the "Cradle of Civilization," is where some of the earliest known cities and complex societies developed.

Sumer, located in the southern part of Mesopotamia (modern-day southern Iraq), consisted of city-states such as Ur, Uruk, and Eridu, and is credited with many significant cultural and technological advancements, including the invention of cuneiform writing.

The Garden of Eden, according to the biblical description in Genesis, is situated near four rivers: the Pishon, Gihon, Tigris (Hiddekel), and Euphrates.

Specifically, Genesis 2:10-14 mentions that a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it divided and became four rivers. Two of these rivers, the Tigris and Euphrates, are well-known and still exist today, flowing through modern-day Iraq.

This has led many to speculate that the Garden of Eden was located somewhere in the region of Mesopotamia, near these two rivers. However, the exact location remains a topic of much debate and interpretation.

Could this be the reason behind all the conflicts in the region?

What secrets are people attempting to conceal?

Gilgamesh is a legendary figure in ancient Mesopotamian mythology, prominently featured in the Epic of Gilgamesh, one of the earliest surviving works of literature.

He was the king of Uruk, a city-state in ancient Sumer (modern-day Iraq), around 2600-2500 BCE.

The Epic of Gilgamesh recounts his adventures and quest for immortality, offering insights into Mesopotamian culture and beliefs.

It's also important to note that the Sumerians worshipped the Annunaki, ancient Mesopotamian deities, sometimes described as gods or extraterrestrial beings in modern interpretations.

I prefer to call them the fallen angels.

Note well that the Babylonian Talmud, also known as the Talmud Bavli, was compiled between the 3rd and 5th centuries CE. The process began around 200 CE and was completed by approximately 500 CE.

This comprehensive compilation of Jewish oral law and tradition was developed in the academies of Babylonia (modern-day Iraq).

The Book of Genesis in the Old Testament dates back to around 1450 to 1400 BC.

There are uncanny similarities between the creation story found in the Sumerian cuneiform texts and the account in the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament.

Both narratives involve the creation of the world, the formation of humans, and the placement of humans in a garden-like setting etc

There are similarities between the Sumerian prototypes of wisdom literature and the biblical Book of Proverbs.

Both the Sumerian texts and the Book of Proverbs share common themes such as practical advice for daily living, moral instruction, and reflections on the nature of wisdom.

They also employ poetic forms and use proverbial sayings to convey their teachings.

According to S.N. Kramer, associate curator of the University Museum of Pennsylvania, the Sumerian Cuneiform tablets contain hymns to Inanna, "The Queen of Heaven,"

and to the "air god" Enlil were compiled around 2000 BC.

Wait a moment, wasn't the Virgin Mary referred to as the Queen of Heaven?

And ironically, according to Jesus in the New Testament, the "prince of the power of the air" was none other than Satan.

The pantheon of gods in Sumer were also regarded as elemental spirits (demons), synonymous with nature spirits: earth, air, fire, and water.

The question arises: why has Sumerian information not been readily accessible?

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;" 1 Timothy 4:1 (KJB)

"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." Colossians 2:8 (KJB)

"Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world." Galatians 4:3 (KJB)

In these verses, the terms "rudiments of the world" in Colossians 2:8 and "elements of the world" in Galatians 4:3 can be interpreted as referring to elemental or spiritual forces.

These forces are contrasted with the teachings and freedom found in Christ.

It should also be pointed out that the purpose behind the never-ending revisions and translations of the bible is to clandestinely modify God’s word.

It is quite intriguing to ponder why a man, who gained notoriety for his involvement in phone hacking scandals and association with topless models, and even received the prestigious honor of a papal knighthood, specifically as the Knight Commander of St Gregory from Pope John Paul II, would find himself involved in the printing of bibles.

His previous newspaper, unsurprisingly, was called "The Sun"

Although it may be slightly off topic, I cannot help but ponder why Kwasi Kwateng, the politician who was previously caught laughing at the Queen’s funeral, would be featured in a recent article in the Telegraph newspaper discussing the conservative party’s recent loss in the UK general election, even making reference to the pagan god Osiris.

"Like the Egyptian god Osiris, the Tories will rise again".

Weird?

Nothing strange going on with our so called leaders?

Also interesting to note that Ezekiel's vision in the Bible, particularly in the Book of Ezekiel, has been interpreted by some as describing a UFO or unidentified flying object.

The passage, often referred to as Ezekiel's Wheel, describes a vision of a "wheel within a wheel" and other unusual sights in the sky.

Interpretations of these descriptions vary widely, with some suggesting they could be representations of divine beings or celestial phenomena, or the same Annunaki, ancient Mesopotamian deities, sometimes described as gods or extraterrestrial beings?

Isn't it curious that the pope later stated that he would baptize aliens if they went to the Vatican.

If those in power are indeed worshipping elemental spirits, sky gods, or the Annunaki for occult knowledge and personal gain, could that explain the evident signs of pagan worship within the Roman Catholic Church?

In Roman mythology, Jupiter (also known as Jove) is primarily known as the king of the gods, associated with the sky, thunder, and lightning.

However, in broader interpretations or in comparisons with other mythological traditions, some might loosely categorize Jupiter as an elemental god because of his domain over the sky and natural phenomena.

"And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them" Luke 21:8 KJB
