In the heart of a garden, so pure and so green,
Where flowers of wonder and beauty were seen,
There lay a paradise, untouched and serene,
The Garden of Eden, a dreamland supreme.
Beneath the vast canopy of the celestial sky,
Where whispers of winds and rivers flowed by,
Two souls were placed by a hand from on high,
To dwell in perfection, where none would deny.
Adam and Eve, with hearts full of grace,
Walked hand in hand in that sacred place,
Where every creature knew its rightful space,
And love and harmony set the pace.
But shadows were cast by a serpent's sly gaze,
Whose cunning and guile led to darkening days,
With a whisper of doubt, and a deceitful phrase,
Temptation was born in that lush, verdant maze.
A bite of the apple, forbidden yet sweet,
Marked the fall from their heavenly seat,
Innocence lost, and a fate to meet,
The path of mankind now incomplete.
Banished from Eden, their hearts full of woe,
With knowledge of good and evil to know,
Into the world, they were forced to go,
To toil and suffer, to reap and to sow.
Generations passed, and the memory dimmed,
Of the garden where purity once brimmed,
Humanity's light, now flickered and skimmed,
By desires and fears, their hearts were dimmed.
Yet deep in the soul, a spark still remains,
A longing for Eden, free of life's chains,
To find the way back, through struggles and pains,
To a state of grace where love reigns.
For in every heart, a garden can bloom,
With kindness and hope to dispel the gloom,
Though we lost our way in that fateful bloom,
We can find our path, beyond the tomb.
By seeking the light, and shunning the lies,
By lifting our gaze to the heavenly skies,
We can reclaim what was lost in the guise,
Of the serpent's promise, and humanity's demise.
In the end, though we wander and fall,
The Garden of Eden still calls to us all,
To rise from the shadows, to stand proud and tall,
And find our way back, to love's eternal hall.
