Yesterday we wrote about Naram-Sin, the god of Akkad, and linked him to Nimrod after the Flood. Genesis 10:10 in the Septuagint (LXX) says: “And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Erech, and Akkad, and Calneh in the land of Shinar.” Nimrod therefore is directly tied to the founding of Akkad. History remembers Naram-Sin of Akkad, grandson of Sargon, who was the first Mesopotamian ruler to declare himself divine. In inscriptions he wore the horned crown of the gods and was titled “the god of Akkad.” Just as the Bible says Nimrod was the first mighty king, Naram-Sin was remembered as the first man to make himself into a god. This same pattern is seen in Egypt where Osiris was remembered as a king of men who ruled before being slain and exalted as lord of the dead. From Nimrod to Naram-Sin to Osiris, the archetype is the same: the first king after the Flood, transformed by pride and rebellion into a god by the power of the dragon.

The holy prophet, Isaiah foresaw this. Isaiah 14:29 in the LXX says: “For from the root of the serpent shall come forth a flying fiery serpent.” The serpent has a root and offspring. Revelation identifies the root. Revelation 12:9 in the LXX says: “And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent, the one called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world.” Revelation 13:2 continues: “And the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority to the beast.” Revelation 13:4 adds: “And they worshiped the dragon because he gave authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast saying, Who is like the beast and who is able to fight with him?” Nimrod, remembered as Naram-Sin the god of Akkad, is this offspring of the dragon. He was a man deified by Satan, made into the beast of Revelation who receives authority from the dragon and enslaves the nations under the stars. His tyranny was an astral slavery, keeping men bound to the worship of sun, moon, and fallen legion (stars) rather than the Creator.

In Egypt this tyrant was remembered as Osiris, lord of the grain, lord of death and resurrection. Rituals planted coffin-shaped Osiris beds filled with sprouting seed. He was father of Horus as Dagan was father of Baal. In West Semitic tradition Dagan’s very name meant grain. He was lord of fertility, of the harvest, and of decreeing destinies in the underworld. Both Osiris and Dagan "Lord of the pit" share the same themes: fertility and grain, death and resurrection, fatherhood of gods, judgment over men. Both stand as lords of the dead and of the harvest, archetypes of Nimrod. Osiris was equated by the Romans with Saturn, god of time and hiddenness, and Isis with Ops, the earth mother. Together Saturn and Ops mirror Osiris and Isis as father of grain and mother of life.

And here, outside the Vatican — surely just another coincidence — the phallus of Osiris rising before the womb of Isis, mother of life.

In the Greco-Egyptian world Osiris was joined to the Apis bull to form Serapis, Σέραπις, worshiped as both solar and chthonic. His followers took the name Σεράπιος, Serapios, meaning “belonging to Serapis.” This name, when counted by Greek isopsephy, equals the number of the beast: Σ (200) + Ε (5) + Ρ (100) + Α (1) + Π (80) + Ι (10) + Ο (70) + Σ (200) = 666. Revelation 13:18 in the LXX says: “Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred sixty-six.” The number is that of a man, and in the very name Serapios we find 666, the beast of Revelation. Thus the Nimrod who built Akkad, remembered as Naram-Sin the god-king, reappears in Egypt as Osiris, in Greece as Serapis, and his number is 666. Ancient authors also affirmed that Serapis was none other than the Sun. Macrobius in Saturnalia makes clear that Serapis was counted among the solar deities, treating him as a title of the sun’s universal power. This identification of Serapis with the Sun not only reinforced his role as lord of life and death but also tied him directly into the great solar mysteries that underpinned every pagan cult, the very worship of the celestial bodies by which Nimrod enslaved humanity.

The Egyptians believed that the dead were absorbed into Osiris, becoming part of him. His ram aspect, Banebdjedet of Mendes, was called the soul of Osiris. Later occultists such as Éliphas Lévi reshaped this into Baphomet, the androgynous Goat of Mendes, blending male and female, heaven and earth, symbol of the union of opposites. Esoteric writers called Serapis the Theon Heptagrammaton, god of the seven-lettered name, ΣΕΡΑΠΙΣ. Some depictions show him crowned with seven rays. Revelation 13:1 describes the beast as “rising out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten diadems.” The symbolism of the seven horns and seven rays passed into classical iconography and reappears in the Statue of Liberty, crowned with seven rays of light, an androgynous colossus reflecting Serapis-Baphomet.

The Druids preserved parallel mysteries. Caesar and Pliny describe Druids teaching the movements of the stars, immortality, and cutting mistletoe with golden sickles on the sixth day of the moon, dressed in white. They also wore robes dyed the color of the sun, gold and yellow, to honor their solar deity. They charged amulets with astral light, drawing power from the moon and stars. Antiquarians said they possessed both a great brooch with a central stone and a sacred tiara with a blazing jewel, each said to bring fire down from the gods at the priest’s command. Revelation 13:13 says of the beast: “And he performs great signs, so that he even brings fire down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.” This counterfeit miracle mirrors the Druidic brooch and the calling down of fire by sorcery, in contrast to Elijah in 3 Kingdoms 18:38 and 4 Kingdoms 1:10 who called down fire by the word of the Lord. Their pantheon included Greek and Roman gods, understood as fallen angels worshiped under other names. They revered the cross as a solar wheel and the serpent as the life-force and deceiver. They worshiped Osiris as Hu Gadarn. Thus their mysteries also trace back to Nimrod, the fiery serpent offspring of the dragon.

Once they wore white robes and a jewel to call fire from the gods… now they wear white robes and a jewel-encrusted cross, while Christ was nailed to a tree.

The Druids also taught of a purgatory-like place where souls would be purged before uniting with the gods. This mirrors Catholic teaching on purgatory, yet true Christians must know that purgatory is never once mentioned in the Scriptures. It is a later invention, foreign to the Word of God. Instead of the sure promise that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8), men are given a counterfeit hope of fiery purification by rites and mysteries.

They also celebrated the solstices and equinoxes, the new and full moon, and the rebirth of the sun on December 25, the birth of the sun-god. They revered the Virgin and Child, Isis and Horus, as symbols of the reborn sun, imagery carried into the Madonna and Child. They taught Pythagorean philosophy, swore oaths to the one who gave them the Tetractys, the triangle of ten points. The Mithraic mysteries (also from Babylon) had grades of initiation, one being the “lion,” and initiates used the grip of the lion’s paw, later echoed in Masonic ritual. They were marked with a cross on the forehead, a counterfeit of Christ’s seal, the mark of the beast. Revelation 13:16 says: “And he makes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, the free and the bond, that they should give them a mark upon their right hand or upon their forehead.” Thus the mysteries enslaved men under the stars and branded them with the serpent’s sign.

Sun worship was central. The Atlanteans before their destruction were said to be sun-worshippers. After the Flood the Egyptians, Babylonians, and Druids continued the same mysteries, celebrating solstices and equinoxes, exalting the day of the sun over the Sabbath of the Lord. In Catholic ritual the sun cult is echoed in golden thrones, sunburst monstrances, jeweled crosses, the rayed IHS of the Jesuits, the papal tiara. Just as Druids used their brooch and tiara to bring fire from the gods, so Catholic clergy lift sunburst monstrances studded with jewels. Revelation 18:23 (LXX) says: “For by your sorceries all the nations were deceived.”

Revelation 18:24 (LXX) continues: “And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who were slain upon the earth.”

How does a golden sunburst, encrusted with jewels, ever reflect the agony and suffering of the true Son of God, who was nailed to a tree to redeem us?

Revelation 17 describes the woman Babylon riding the scarlet beast full of names of blasphemy, with seven heads and ten horns. “And upon her forehead a name was written, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth” (Rev 17:5). The beast she rides is the same that “was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction” (Rev 17:8). This is the cycle of Nimrod who was, and is not, and is to come, the beast who began as king, died, was deified, and will rise again in the last rebellion. Revelation 18:2 declares: “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and she has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit.” Her end is decreed: the system of Nimrod, Naram-Sin, Osiris, Serapis, Dagan, Druids, Mithras, Masons, et al from Babylon itself all fall in judgment.

From Nimrod after the Flood who built Akkad, remembered as Naram-Sin the god of Akkad, to Osiris the deified king of Egypt, to Serapis the solar bull, to the Druids who brought fire down from the gods with their brooch and tiara and charged amulets with astral light, to Mithraic initiates marked with the cross, to Masons with the grip of the lion’s paw and their Hiram, to Catholic rituals in gold and sunbursts, the line is unbroken. Isaiah foretold the fiery serpent from the root of the serpent. Revelation shows the dragon giving power to the beast. His number is six hundred sixty-six, the number of Serapios, "the man named for Serapis"

Serapis was a Greco-Egyptian god deliberately created in the third century BCE by the Ptolemaic kings of Egypt to unite Greek and Egyptian religion under one cult. His name came from the fusion of Osiris, lord of the dead and of grain, with the Apis bull of Memphis, hence Osiris-Apis, shortened in Greek to Σέραπις (Serapis). To Egyptians he was the continuity of Osiris, guaranteeing life, death, and resurrection. To Greeks he was a solar and underworld deity, equated with Hades, Dionysus, and above all with the Sun, as Macrobius explicitly affirms in his Saturnalia. Temples of Serapis (Serapea) spread across the Mediterranean, with the great Serapeum of Alexandria at their center. Thus Serapis embodied the archetype of the deified man exalted as a universal solar god, carrying forward the line of Nimrod, Naram-Sin, and Osiris into the Greco-Roman world. Mystery Babylon is his city, mother of harlots, deceiving the nations by her sorceries. Nimrod was the first king after the Flood, deified by Satan, made into the beast of Revelation, enslaving mankind under the stars until the Lamb destroys the dragon, the beast, and Babylon with the brightness of His coming.
